A Summer Intern’s Perspective

I found Pohlig through my mom who was Controller from the 70’s to the 90’s. As I was growing up, she told me countless stories about the genuine, high-energy, and fun people that worked at the office. Pohlig sounded like a perfect environment to gain business experience in an inclusive atmosphere, and it has more than met my expectations. As my first job in a professional setting, much different from my days in the sun lugging rotten fruit as an orchard hand, I was embraced as part of the team from day one. Whether it was learning how to read architectural drawings or to identify elements of an income statement, I have gained an immense amount of experience during my short time here, and I will take this knowledge with me for when I return to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a sophomore. There, I will continue to pursue majors in Business Administration and Computer Science and a minor in Creative Writing. Thanks for a great summer, Pohlig!  Grady Hale
