Jessica Canto,
project manager for Athertyn, Pohlig’s award-winning luxury living
community located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Main Line, earned the
Certified Green Professional (CGP™) designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). As a CGP, Canto is
trained in strategies for incorporating green building principles into homes
using cost-effective options. These green building practices are applicable to
the construction of new homes, remodels, site developments, and multifamily
projects.
Canto’s realm
of expertise encompasses how to integrate sound building science principles
into the design, construction, and remodeling process. She can address water,
resource and energy efficiency as well as indoor environmental quality in
construction projects. In addition, Canto adheres to specific green building
practices that meet the National Green Building Standard®.
Jessica Canto
studied Construction Management at Drexel University before joining Pohlig 12
years ago. Canto is also certified through NAHB’s Graduate Builder Board of
Governors. In her role as project manager for Athertyn, the #1 best-selling
community of its kind in the region, Canto is in charge of scheduling, quality
assurance, production, processes and project management. And recently garnered
the Best Project Manager Award at the Synergy Awards presented by the Home
Builder Associations of Chester/Delaware and Bucks/Montgomery Counties on the
evening of April 16th.
From Athertyn’s
beginnings, Jessica helped design the extensive custom selections program for
the spacious condominiums. Today she remains a driving force in selecting all
materials and finishes as well as working with the subcontractors, land
planners, developers, government officials, and the multitude of other people
that it takes to pull off a construction project of this magnitude. Named the
Best 50+ Lifestyle Community in the Nation by the NAHB, Athertyn has sold 87
homes and $74 million worth of real estate since its inception, to buyers
