Lisa Scottoline and Athertyn resident Ollie Davidson at the Athertyn Enrichment Series featuring Lisa and her new book "Best Friends and Occasional enemies" |
True to her reputation, Scottoline was a friendly and approachable speaker whose warm, outgoing personality resonated with everyone in attendance. Rather than read directly from her book, Scottoline talked about how she first began writing after the birth of her child and now feels that she is living the American Dream, doing what she loves to do. A great crowd turned out despite the torrential rain that night, and the atmosphere inside the clubhouse was cozy and inviting. Guests participated in a lively Q&A with Scottoline and stayed to socialize even after the presentation ended.

"The Athertyn Enrichment Series has been extremely well-received by the Athertyn community," said builder Todd Pohlig. "Our buyers are at a stage in their lives where they are able to pursue the activities and interests that they have put off in the past. Many of our Athertyn residents share a great passion for learning and experiencing new things, and the Enrichment Series has been a fantastic way to bring that ongoing sense of adventure and self-discovery to the community.
